1. What is Usability and conversion optimisation and why should all businesses be doing it?
Usability is all about making a website easier to use for a customer. Conversion optimization is the science of moving elements around (design and content) to maximize websites revenue.
All business should do both because creating a usable website will make customers happy. And optimizing for conversions will make you more money as a website owner.
2.What are the biggest mistakes business make when conducting tests?
Creating tests based on random ideas I had. You should always base tests off of data. This will help maximize how many wins you get.
3. What are some of the things business can test to see quick improvements?
Typically headline copy and button call to action text and color is a quick test most people can run.
4. Can you do this sort of testing on a website with small amounts of traffic?
You should ideally have more than 100 conversions a month before you start doing any a/b tests. If you don’t have at least 100 it will take a long time for a test to complete.
