5 of the Best Construction Blogs [Examples of Content Marketing that Works]
If you build it, they will come…
And yes, in this case, I’m talking about your blog. After all, it’s the best place to provide potential customers with lots of useful, practical information that’ll help them get closer to making their decision.
Some of the construction companies that approach me have a vague idea that they should be blogging, but they’re not really sure what that should entail, or how often.
TIP: The answer to this is that your content should answer your ideal customer’s questions, and be published at least twice per week – but you may also want to blog about news in your industry, or construction tips to help attract new employees.
To give you a better idea of what’s really possible, I’ve decided to put together a list of some of the best construction blogs out there.

With a focus on remodelling homes, it’s easy from Litchfield Construction’s blog that they really know their audience, with helpful blogs such as ‘Top 3 Dangers of Buying a Fixer Upper Home’ and ‘5 Apps to Help You Envision Your Home Remodel.’
None of these blogs are trying to promote their own products or services; there’s no agenda here apart from establishing trust and giving people a helpful resource to turn to when they start their research on home remodelling. That’s what it’s all about.
2. Conservatory Craftsmen
If you’re looking for a conservatory, Conservatory Craftsmen might just have all the answers you’re looking for. They’ve taken the time to address some of their key customer concerns, especially for those who might not even know if they want a conservatory in the first place.
A good example is where they’ve compared conservatories with orangeries. They’ve also addressed other valid but more general homeowner concerns such as how to save on home heating costs.
Edinburgh-based company Superwarm are all about installing and services boilers, and you can see from their blog that they know their customer base inside out.
From talking about their competitiors in ‘5 of the Best Boiler Repair Companies in Edinburgh’ to addressing concerns relating to faulty boilers, landlord legislation and more, they are providing their expertise and giving their customers the answers they need to help make a purchase decision.
4. River Pools and Spas
Boasting “the most educational swimming pool blog in the country”, River Pools and Spas (based across the pond) is definitely doing it right. Their blog contains a wealth of information that someone would need to know before purchasing one of their pools.
From examples like ‘7 Things to Consider When Building a Fibreglass Pool At a Home Under Construction’ to ‘Pool Loans 101: Rates, Payments and How to Qualify’, they’re continually proving to potential customers that they know their stuff.
From the latest technology and software trends in the construction industry, to industry-wide tips such as how to cultivate a happy crew, Raken is actually a construction software company that knows where it’s at when it comes to blogging.
Their ideal customer is YOU, and they’re answering some of the big questions that you not only have about construction software, but they’re also giving you other great tips and industry news because they know that’s what you’re interested in.
I hope this blog has given you some ideas of how you can create amazing content to appeal to your ideal customers – just like the companies above are doing for you.
It’s time to do what hardly anyone else in your industry is doing, and provide answers to the questions your customers really want to know.
